2016 Senior Scholarship Winners

Kokomo, IN, May 25, 2016:  

The Kokomo Soccer Club is proud to announce its senior scholarship winners for 2016. Our first recipient is Western High School senior Courtney Pitzer daughter of Paul and Amy Pitzer.  Courtney has been a soccer player since age 6 and part of our travel program since she was 9 years old.  She has volunteered many hours at the club by working in the concession stand, refereeing and acting as an assistant coach during Beasley Camp.   She is a 4-year varsity soccer player at Western High School and was team captain her senior year. Courtney is the reigning Distinguished Young Woman of Howard County and will attend Belmont University in Nashville TN to major in Music Therapy.    Kokomo High School senior Arland Mcilrath, son of Mitchell and Carmen Mcilrath, is our second scholarship winner.  Arland has played travel soccer for 10 years and has participated in camps at Notre Dame, IUPUI and in the Beasley Soccer School.  He was a four year participant of the Kokomo High School Soccer Program, holding the honor of varsity team captain his senior year.  Arland has spent many hours volunteering at the soccer club and in the community at large.  He plans to attend IUPUI’s Kelley School of Business to study Finance.  Our final scholarship recipient is Daniel Hernandez, son of Bernado and Gabriela Hernandez.  This Northwestern senior played soccer at KSC for 8 seasons as well as participated on his high school teams for 4 years and served as team captain his senior season.  Daniel plans to attend Indiana University in Bloomington.
